Adrenomimetics
Substances that excite the adrenergic receptors, ie, act like norepinephrine and epinephrine are called adrenergic agonist. Those that excite and alpha-and beta-adrenergic receptors, fully reproduce the effects of the above mediators. There are agonists that selectively interact with either alpha-or beta-adrenergic receptors, or with certain subtypes (for example, beta1 - or beta2).
