Fibrinolytics

Fibrinolytics, or fibrinolytic agents cause destruction of the formed fibrin; they contribute mainly to the absorption of fresh (not yet subjected to the organization) of clot.

Fibrinolytics agents are divided into groups of direct and indirect action. The first group includes substances that directly affect the blood plasma, fibrin clot, effective in vitro and in vivo (fibrinolysin, or plasmin, an enzyme formed during activation is contained in the blood of profibrinolizin).

The second group includes enzymes activators profibrinolizin (alteplase, streptokinase, etc.). They are inactive by direct action on the strands of fibrin, but when administered to activate endogenous fibrinolytic system of the blood (make profibrinolizin in fibrinolysin). The main application as fibrinolytic agents currently have drugs related to indirect Fibrinolytics.
