Glucagon and its analogues

This group is primarily hormone the alpha cells of the pancreas — glucagon. Glucagon increases gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis in the liver and increases the concentration of glucose in the blood. Used mainly for the treatment of (edema) hypoglycemic coma.
