Pharmacological action:

Inhibits the development of cataracts: competitively suppresses the action of quinones, blocks aldose reductase, helps restore the permeability of the lens membrane, prevents degeneration of the lens protein, normalizes glucose metabolism in the lens and prevents the deposition of sorbitol.

Indications:

Senile and diabetic cataracts.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, superficial keratitis, marginal blepharitis, hyperemia of the sclera, itching, burning pain.

Method of administration and dosage:

Externally: 750 mcg is dissolved in 15 ml of the solvent supplied in the vial, the resulting solution is instilled into the eyes 1-2 drops 5-6 times a day, for several months. Apply only by instillation (avoid contact of the tip of the pipette with the eye).

Special instructions:

The bottle should be stored in a dark, cool place after dissolving the tablet. The contents of the bottle should be used for 1 month.
