Mastometrin (Mastometriti®) is a homeopathic drug for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases of the reproductive organs and breast of female animals. Dosage form: solution for injection. In appearance, the drug is a colorless transparent liquid.

Structure

As active substances, Mastometrin contains matrix tinctures of vegetable and organic origin (in 1000 ml): Pulsatilla pratensis D11 1ml; Juniperus sabina Ø 0.03 ml; Sepia D4 0.1 g; Lachesis D4 0.001 ml; ASD-2 0.01 nl and auxiliary substances: methyl parahydroxybenzoate - 0.5 g, sodium chloride - 5.8 g, sodium acetate trihydrate - 2.0 g, hydrochloric acid to pH 5.4, ethyl alcohol 95% - 5.26 g, water for injection up to 1000 ml.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Mastometrin refers to combined homeopathic medicines.

It has an anti-inflammatory effect, increases the tone and contractility of the myometrium, restores the structure and function of the endometrium, stimulates tissue immunity and increases the bactericidal properties of cervical mucus.

According to the degree of exposure to the body, the drug belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007), does not have a locally irritating and sensitizing effect.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

Mastometrin is prescribed to females of cattle, pigs, horses, fur-bearing animals, cats, dogs for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the reproductive organs and breast: acute, chronic and subclinical endometritis, MMA syndrome, acute serous and catarrhal mastitis, as well as prevention of postpartum complications.

Mastometrin is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously:

Farm animals: for the treatment of chronic and subclinical endometritis, MMA syndrome, 3-4 injections at three-day intervals; for the treatment of acute serous and catarrhal mastitis 1 time a day for 3-5 days.

Dogs, cats and fur-bearing animals: for the prevention of postpartum complications - after childbirth 1-2 injections at intervals of 24-48 hours; with acute mastitis and endometritis 1-2 times a day for 5-7 days; with subacute and chronic endometritis 2-3 times a week.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the veterinarian, but not more than 1 month.

A single dose of the drug per animal is: cattle, pigs - 5.0 ml / animal; horses - 8.0-10.0 ml / animal; dogs - 0.1 ml / 1 kg of animal weight; cats, fur-bearing animals - 0.5-1.0 ml / animal.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Symptoms of overdose in animals have not been established.

Omissions should be avoided when administering the next dose of the drug, as this may lead to a decrease in therapeutic and preventive effectiveness In the case of skipping one dose, the use of the drug should be resumed as soon as possible in the same dose and according to the same scheme.

The use of Mastometrin does not exclude the use of other drugs for etiotropic, pathogenetic and symptomatic therapy.

Products of animal origin during and after the application of Mastometrin can be used without restrictions.

Contraindications

Contraindication to the use of the drug is an individual hypersensitivity of the animal to its components.

SIDE EFFECTS

When using Mastometrin in accordance with this instruction, side effects to complications are usually not noted. With increased individual sensitivity and the occurrence of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is discontinued and antihistamines and symptomatic therapy are prescribed to the animal.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

Mastometrin is stored in the manufacturer's closed packaging, separately from food and feed, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature from 0 to 30 ° C.

The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions in the manufacturer's closed packaging, is 3 years from the date of production, after the first opening of the bottle - 21 days.
