The composition and form of issue:

Powder for solution preparation for intake. One sachet contains:

magnesium sulfate 20 or 25 g

Description pharmaceutical form:

Colorless prismatic crystal, weathered in the air, bitter-salty taste.

Indications:

  • as a laxative (occasionally)
  • preparations for tests of the colon.

Contraindications:

  • idiosyncrasy
  • hypermagnesemia.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, colicky abdominal pain, flatulence.

Method of application and dose:

Inside.

Adults — 15-25 g of 1 times a day on an empty stomach pre-dissolved the drug in a glass of water (250 ml).

Children over 12 years: 10 g, 1 times a day (1/2 glass of water).

Children aged 6-12 years from 5 to 10 g (ie, from half to a whole volume of the solution prepared at the rate of 10 g per 1/2 Cup water).

In children under 6 years, the drug can be used only on prescription.

Daily doses are determined at the rate of 1 g per 1 year of life.

Perhaps the use of the drug in the form enema (50-100 ml of 20-30% solution).

Precautions:

The drug is not recommended systematically.
