Composition and form of issue:

Capsules. 1 capsule contains:

paracetamol 500 mg

chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg

dextromethorphan hydrobromide 15 mg

phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg

blistere in 10 PCs in the paper cartons 1 or 2 blisters.

Hard gelatin capsules.

Characteristic:

Combined preparation. Remedy for symptoms of ARI and cold.

Description of pharmacological action:

Paracetamol has antipyretic and analgesic action.

Phenylephrine is a vasoconstrictive effect, thereby contributing to the elimination of nasal congestion and reducing discharge from the nose.

Chlorpheniramine has anti-allergic and anti-edema effect (reduces vascular permeability, eliminates swelling and hyperemia of the nasal mucosa, suppresses the symptoms of allergic rhinitis).

Dextromethorphan increases the threshold of sensitivity of the cough center of the medulla oblongata, without leading to the oppression of the respiratory center, has antitussive and sedative effect, does not have analgesic effect.

The onset of action of the drug within 20-30 min, duration — 4-4. 5 hrs

Indications:

  • temperature rise (colds and infectious diseases)
  • rhinitis, rhinorrhea, rhinopharyngitis, allergic rhinitis
  • flu

Contraindications:

  • hypersensitivity to the drug components

Side effect:

Allergic reactions (including skin rash, itching, angioneurotic edema), dizziness, drowsiness, irritability, mydriasis, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, dry mouth, urine retention, paresis of accommodation, increased intraocular pressure, thrombocytopenia, anemia, including hemolytic and aplastic, increase in blood pressure, hepatotoxic effect, nephrotoxicity (papillary necrosis), bronhoobstrukcia.

Dosage and administration:

Inside. Adults-1 caps. every 4-6 hours, but not more than 4 caps. per day. Admission as a antipyretic without consulting a doctor - no more than 3 days.

Overdose:

Symptoms: possible-pale skin, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, hepatonecrosis, increased activity of hepatic transaminases in blood serum, increased PV (due, as a rule, paracetamol, after taking a dose exceeding 10-15 g).

Treatment: in case of overdose phenomena, it is necessary to consult a doctor urgently.

First aid: gastric lavage followed by the appointment of activated charcoal.

Precautionary measures:

During treatment should refrain from taking alcohol. Care must be taken when performing work that requires concentration, increased speed of motor and mental reactions.

In persons suffering from chronic alcoholism, taking therapeutic doses of the drug toff plus can cause severe liver failure.
