02.036 (a muscle relaxant of Central action)

Composition:

Tinazidine - 2.0 or 4.0 mg

Excipients: lactose,cellulose,silicon dioxide,stearic the

Indications:

Spasticity of skeletal muscle in scattered sclerogibbidae spinal cord

Pharmacological action:

A muscle relaxant of Central action. Reduces the increased skeletal muscles tone, relieves their spasm, reduces the resistance of muscles during passive movements, increasing the strength of an arbitrary contractions. Myshechnorasslablyayuschee effect of tizanidine was probably due to inhibition of spinal polysynaptic reflexes, which is associated with a decrease in release of excitatory amino acids from the presynaptic terminals of spinal interneurons, and stimulation of ?2-adrenergic receptors. On the transfer of excitation in the neuromuscular synapses of tizanidine are not affected.

Dosage

To stop painful spasm of skeletal muscles used at 2-4 mg 3 times/day, in severe cases additionally, it is recommended to take at night 2-4 mg. in spastic conditions of the muscles, caused by neurological diseases, the initial dose is 6 mg/day in 3 divided doses. Gradually increase the dose to 2-4 mg/day every 3-7 days. Optimal therapeutic effect is usually achieved at a dose of 12-24 mg/day, divided into 3-4 reception. Should not exceed 36 mg/day.

Drug interactions

While the use of antihypertensive agents, (including diuretics) may develop arterial expressed hypotension and bradycardia.

While the use of ethanol, drugs with sedative effects enhanced sedative effect.

Side effects:

With the use of tizanidine in relatively small doses, in rare cases, there drowsiness, fatigue, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, a decrease in blood pressure, in higher doses, these effects occur more frequently and significantly expressed, in addition, possible insomnia, muscle weakness, bradycardia, increase of transaminases in serum.

Indications:

Spastic state of skeletal muscle caused by neurological diseases (multiple sclerosis, chronic myelopathy, stroke, degenerative diseases of the spinal cord). Painful spasm of skeletal muscles, due to lesions of the spine (cervical and lumbar syndromes) or arising after operations (about grimestone disk or osteoarthritis hip).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to tizanidine.

Special instructions:

Be used with caution in patients with impaired liver function and kidney.

Effects on ability to drive vehicles and management mechanisms

At the beginning of treatment if you experience drowsiness, avoid activities that require high concentration of attention, rapid psychomotor reactions.

Use in impaired renal function

Be used with caution in patients with impaired renal function.

Use in hepatic impairment

Be used with caution in patients with impaired liver function.
