The composition and form of issue:

Eye drops, 1 ml contains:

taurine 4 mg

excipients: nipagin water for injections 

in vials-droppers of 5 ml or 10 ml in the stack cartons 1 or 5 bottles-droppers or in dark glass bottles complete with dropper cap 5 ml or 10 ml in a cardboard pack 1 set.

Description pharmaceutical form:

Colorless transparent liquid.

Description pharmacological action:

Taufon (taurine) is a sulfur-containing amino acid produced in the body in the process of conversion of cysteine. The drug improves energy metabolism, stimulates reparative processes in diseases of dystrophic character and contributes to the restoration of disturbed metabolism in eye tissues. As sulfur-containing amino acid, the drug normalizes the function of cell membranes, improves metabolic (incl. energy) processes.

Indications:

  • corneal dystrophy
  • senile, traumatic, radiation, and other types of cataracts
  • injuries to the cornea (as a stimulator of reparative processes).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to taurine.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions.

Method of application and dose:

With cataract 4% taufon solution (eye drops) administered in the form of instillation 1-2 drops 2-4 times a day for 3 months. Repeat with monthly intervals. Injuries and degenerative diseases of the cornea used in the same doses for 1 month.
