The composition and form of issue:
Eye ointment. 1 g contains:
hydrocortisone acetate 5 mg
excipients: methoxybenzoate 2 mg white petrolatum, up to 1 g
in tubes of 3 g in a cardboard bundle 1 tuba.
Feature:
White or almost white, translucent fatty mass with a faint odor of ointment base.
Pharmacological action:
Inhibits phospholipase A2, disturbs the synthesis of PG, the activation of tissue kinins, inhibits the migration of leukocytes and lymphocytes in inflammation.
Description pharmacological action:
Prevents the development of inflammatory reactions, reduces exudation and capillary permeability. Inhibits the deposition of collagen and scarring.
Indications:
Inflammatory diseases of the cornea, the sclera and the conjunctiva of the eye, allergic eye disease and edges of the eyelids the condition after an injury or surgery on the eyeball (not earlier than 7 days after surgery or trauma) burn aseptic (chemical, thermal or caused by radiation) of the eye.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity purulent, viral, tubercular, fungal eye diseases, primary glaucoma, epithelial defects of the cornea.
Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:
When pregnancy is possible if the expected effect therapy outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. With caution and short-term breastfeeding.
Side effects:
Delayed healing of defects of the corneal epithelium, infection of the deeper parts of the eye the spread of infectious process, particularly viral steroid glaucoma (after 3-6 weeks of therapy, especially in predisposed patients), cataract (by long-term repeated courses of treatment).
Method of application and dose:
Conjunctival 2-3 times a day in a small amount for 2 weeks (hereinafter only as directed by your physician).
Precautions:
Excessive and/or too frequently during the day adult use or use in small children may be accompanied by the absorption and development of systemic action of the drug.
