Structure and Composition:

Pharmachologic effect:

Blocks alpha-adrenergic, dopaminergic, m-cholinergic receptors.

Indications:

Schizophrenia, manic-depressive psychosis, neurosis, fear, excitement, stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder, tic, psychomotor agitation, withdrawal syndrome.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, coma, depression, severe central nervous system diseases, cardiovascular system, liver.

Side effect:

Extrapyramidal disorders pseudoparkinsonism, drowsiness, confusion, restlessness, excessive motor excitability, headache, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, jaundice, paresis of accommodation, dysmenorrhea, abnormal ejaculation, swelling, nipple breast, allergic reactions.

The syndrome of anxiety and depression in psychiatric practice patients with agitated depression - 25-200 mg / day. In general medical practice as a sedative and anxiolytic - 10-75 mg / day.

Older patients as a neuroleptic / antipsychotic - 25-200 mg / day, anxiolytic / sedative - 10-75 mg / day.

Children older than 2 years in the treatment of severe mental and emotional disorders: as neuroleptic dose of 1-3 mg / kg / day, as anxiolytic / sedative - dose of 0.5-2 mg / kg / day.

When treating pronounced behavioral disorders in mentally retarded adults and in patients with deficiency of symptoms: 100-600 mg / day, the maximum dose - 800 mg / day. To reduce the severity of mental disorders with alcohol withdrawal syndrome: 100-200 mg / day.
