Dosage and administration:

Inside, after eating, under the control of lithium in blood initial dose - 600-900 mg / day in 2-3 divided doses, with good endurance increase the dose up to 1200 mg / day and then 300 mg daily until reaching 1.2-2, 1 g / day. The maximum daily dose - 2.4 g 3-4 hours (last admission at bedtime). When the plasma lithium concentration of more than 1.2 mmol / l to reduce the dose. After the disappearance of manic symptoms the dose is gradually reduced to 600-1200 mg / day. The duration of prophylactic monotherapy - not less than 6 months. Children under the individual dose that provides the blood lithium concentration at the level of 0.5-1 mmol / l.
