Composition and form of issue:

Solution for local and external application, 100 ml contains:

octenidine dihydrochloride 0, 1 g

Phenoxyethanol 2 g

excipients: sodium cocamidopropylbetaine D-gluconate glycerol 85% sodium chloride water purified 

in bottles of 250 or 1000 ml or 50 ml bottle with mechanical spray.

Description of dosage form:

Transparent solution, practically free from visible particles, with a weak specific smell.

Description of the pharmacological action:

It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, lipophilic viruses (e.g. herpes simplex virus and hepatitis b virus), as well as yeast-like fungi and dermatophytes.

Indications:

  • treatment of skin and mucous membranes before diagnostic and surgical procedures in pediatric, surgical, obstetric and gynecological practice, traumatology, proctology, dermatovenerology, otolaryngology, dentistry
  • treatment of wound and burn surfaces
  • prevention of fungal infections of feet and interdigital mycoses.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effect:

The possibility of a short burning sensation at the application site. Mouthwash may have a bitter taste.

Drug interaction:

Do not use in conjunction with iodine-containing antiseptics.

Method of application and doses:

Outside, local.

Processing to produce alternately two tampons plentifully moistened with Octenisept. The affected surface should be treated completely. The preparation can be applied to easily accessible areas by spraying. Exposure time-at least 1-2 minutes.

Bandage is applied after complete drying of Octenisept (i.e. 1-2 min). Before using the product to be processed and portions of tissue must be cleaned from the pus, or other biological substrates took place.

For rinsing the oral cavity, 20 ml of the drug is used, re-rinsing is recommended after 20 seconds.

To prevent fungal diseases, the skin between the toes and feet is treated with the drug 2 times a day (morning and evening). The treatment period is up to 14 days.
