The composition and form of issue:

Emulsion for intranasal use 0.1%. 1 ml contains nafazolina nitrate, 1 mg

Excipients: essential eucalyptus oil — 0.25 mg boric acid — 0.3 g of paraffin oil — 1.15 g sterile water to 10 ml 

in vials-droppers of 10 ml.

Drops of 0.05 and 0.1%. 1 ml contains: naphazoline nitrate 0.5 or 1 mg

Excipients: boric acid admin methylparaben, sterile water 

in dropper bottle in dark glasses to 10 ml in a cardboard pack 1 bottle.

Spray for nasal application of 0.1%. 1 ml contains nafazolina nitrate, 1 mg

Description pharmaceutical form:

Nasal drops: clear, colorless liquid with no odor.

Pharmacological action:

Stimulates ALPHA2-adrenergic receptors.

Description pharmacological action:

Causes vasoconstriction of the mucous membranes and reduces swelling, hyperemia, exudation in the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, nasal breathing easier.

Clinical pharmacology:

Prolonged use of vasoconstrictor effect is gradually reduced, in connection with 5-7 days of treatment should take a break for a few days.

Indications:

Emulsion, solution: acute rhinitis, sinusitis, laryngitis, Eustachian, rhinoscopy, runny nose.

Solution: hyperemia of mucous membranes after operations on the upper airway, edema of the vocal cords and larynx, chronic inflammation of the conjunctiva, reduced visual acuity, eye fatigue.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, arterial hypertension, thyroid enlargement, tachycardia, expressed arteriosclerosis, glaucoma, children up to age 2 years (0.1% emulsion, 0.05 and 0.1% solution), up to 15 years (0.1% solution).

Side effects:

Irritation of the mucous membranes, reactive hyperemia with prolonged use, swelling mucosa, nausea, headache, increased blood pressure, tachycardia (at resorbtive action).

Method of application and dose:

Intranasal: adults: 1 to 3 drops of 0.1% emulsion or a 0.1% solution in each nostril 3-4 times a day. Children — 1-2 drops 0.05% solution in each nostril up to 3 times a day at intervals of not less than 4 h. for nosebleed, you can use cotton swabs dipped in the solution of the drug. Spray 1-3 doses into each nostril 3-4 times a day directly after inhalation, it is recommended to lightly inhale the nose.

The course of treatment is short-term, to the disappearance of symptoms of nasal congestion, but not more than 1 week in adults and 3 days in children. Re-use is only possible in a few days.

Intrakongungualno: use only 0,05% solution, 1-2 drops in each eye the patient 3-4 times a day.

Overdose:

Symptoms: hypothermia, bradycardia, hyperhidrosis, somnolence, coma.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Precautions:

It should not be used concurrently with MAO inhibitors or within 10 days after their cancellation. Not recommended for chronic rhinitis. Be wary appoint the cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, pheochromocytoma, hyperthyroidism.

Special instructions:

Frequent prolonged use of the drug can cause chronic nasal congestion and dryness of the nasal mucosa.
