Expiration date: 02/2026

The composition and form of issue:

1 ml solution for inhalation contains kromoglikata sodium 10 mg in ampoules of 2 ml, in a carton 48 PCs

Pharmacological action:

Inhibits the release of mediators of the allergic response of sensitized mast cells, prevents the development of early and late stages of asthmatic reaction in response to immunological and other stimuli.

Pharmacokinetics:

After inhalation metered-dose aerosol about 10% of the dose absorbed from the respiratory tract into the systemic circulation. After inhalation of the solution from the respiratory tract is absorbed 8% of the dose, the remainder is removed from the lungs with the exhaled current of air or deposited on the walls of the oropharynx, swallowed and then excreted through the digestive tract. From the gastrointestinal tract into the systemic circulation absorbed 1% of the administered dose. Reversible binds to plasma proteins (about 65%) is not metabolized. Excreted unchanged in the urine and bile in approximately equal amounts.

Indications:

Bronchial asthma (including asthma physical effort) in adults and children (prevention and treatment).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity.

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Prescribed with caution.

Side effects:

Symptoms of irritation of the upper respiratory tract: cough, the phenomenon of bronchospasm (in such cases the drug is stopped).

Method of application and dose:

Metered aerosol for inhalation. Adults (including the elderly) and children initial dose — 2 inhalation 4 times a day. In achieving optimal therapeutic effect may shift to a maintenance dose, which is adjusted individually. The dose can be increased up to 2 inhalations 6-8 times a day in cases of more severe illness, and during periods of enhanced antigenic effect. Additional tablets may be made directly to the physical load (for the prevention of asthma physical effort).

Solution for inhalation. The solution should be inhaled using a compressor, ultrasonic or piezoelectric nebulizer via face mask or mouthpiece.

Adults (including the elderly) and children: 1 vial 4 times a day when using the inhaler. In more severe cases, admission may be increased to 5-6 times a day.

Overdose:
