Composition and form of issue:

Emulsion for external use 20%

benzyl benzoate 200 mg

auxiliary substances: soap economic 72% wax emulsion water purified — up to 1 g

in bottles or bottles of 50, 100 and 200 g in a pack of cardboard 1 bottle or bottle.

Description of dosage form:

Homogeneous white emulsion with a weak specific smell.

Pharmacological action:

Countercurrent. Destruction of scabies mites.

Indications:

Scabies.

Contraindications:

Pregnancy, breast-feeding, childhood (up to 3 years).

Use during pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Contraindicated. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.

Side effect:

Skin irritation, burning sensation (especially in children).

Dosage and administration:

Outwardly. With scabies, adults are prescribed 20% emulsion, children under 5 years — 10%. On the 1st day, the treatment is carried out in the evening before going to bed after a thorough wash in the shower with warm water and soap. The emulsion is rubbed into the skin of the hands, then the torso and legs, including the soles and fingers. After skin treatment, only clean linen and clothing should be used. On the 2nd and 3rd days make a break in the treatment, without washing away the remnants of the emulsion from the skin. On the 4th day of treatment repeat the procedure of the first day and again change clothes. Hands after treatment should not be washed for 3 hours, then hands are treated with emulsion after each wash. In the case of washing off the emulsion from other parts of the body, their treatment should be repeated. On the 5th day of treatment, the drug is washed off. Treatment of complications of scabies (dermatitis, eczema, pyoderma, postschina lymphopenia) is carried out simultaneously with the treatment of scabies and continues after its completion.

Special instruction:

Treatment of patients identified in one focus, as well as contact persons, should be carried out simultaneously in order to avoid re-infection.

The presence of itching after treatment is a reaction of the body to the products of tick activity and is eliminated in the appointment of antihistamines and ointments with glucocorticosteroids.

Do not allow the drug to enter the eyes and mucous membranes of the nose, mouth. In case of contact with the drug: in the mouth — rinse with plenty of water or 2% warm solution of baking soda in the stomach — rinse 1-2% with a solution of baking soda, an aqueous mixture of burnt magnesia and activated carbon in the eyes — rinse thoroughly with water or a solution of baking soda.

If there are signs of skin irritation, the use of the drug should be discontinued.

Shake before use.

All items in contact with infected skin are subjected to careful treatment: bedding, towels are boiled in a solution of washing powder 5-10 minutes. Outerwear is ironed on both sides of things that are not subject to heat treatment, hung out in the open air for 3 days. Shoes, toys, excluded from circulation and placed in a plastic bag. Mattresses, pillows, blankets are excluded from use for 5 days or subjected to chamber disinfection. Soft furniture plant products for pest control.
