Glucose enhances the redox processes in organism, improves antitoxic function of the liver covers a part of the energy expenses of the organism as a source of carbohydrate. Entering the tissues fosfauriliruetsa, turning into glucose-6-phosphate, which is actively involved in many phases of metabolism of the body.

A solution of 400 mg/ml is hypertonic. When administered into a vein hypertonic solution increases the osmotic pressure of the blood, increases the contractile activity of the heart muscle, expands blood vessels, improves the detoxification function of the liver, increases diuresis.

Pharmacokinetics

Fully absorbed by the body, kidney is not displayed (the appearance in the urine is a pathological sign).

Testimony

Hypoglycemia, lack of carbohydrate food, poisoning, intoxication, liver diseases (hepatitis, dystrophy and atrophy of the liver, including liver failure), hemorrhagic diathesis, intoxication, collapse, shock.

As a component of various blood-substituting and anti-shock fluids, for the preparation of solutions of drugs for intravenous injection.

Contraindications

Be wary decompensated chronic heart failure, chronic renal failure (oligo-, anuria), hyponatremia, diabetes mellitus.

Method of application and doses

Intravenous drip up to 30 drops/min (1, 5 ml/min), the maximum daily dose for adults – 250 ml.

Symptoms: hyperglycemia, glucosuria, hyperglycemic hyperosmolar coma, gipergidratace, violation vodno-elektrolitnogo balance. Treatment: to stop the introduction of glucose to enter insulin, symptomatic therapy.

Interaction

When combined with other drugs it is necessary to visually control the work (possible invisible pharmaceutical or pharmacodynamic incompatibility).

Special instructions

Glucose cannot enter the fast or for a long time. If in the process of infusion solution occurs chills, the introduction should cease immediately. To prevent thrombophlebitis, the solution should be administered slowly via a large vein.
