The dosage regimen
For/in infusion. If there are no other indications, it is prescribed at 1.0-1.25 ml/kg body mass/h, which is 0.08-0.1 g amino acid/1 kg of patient body weight/h.
Maximum dose: 1.5 g amino acids/kg body weight /day, ie 1300 ml/day at body weight of patient 70 kg.
Aminosteril N-HEPA 8% is applied until the required parenteral nutrition, i.e., until therapy is needed.
Side effects
In/in the introduction of Aminosteril N-HEPA 8%, as well as other special solutions, can lead to the increased secretion of acid gastric juice and to the aggravation of ulcers. That's why you need to check the need for prophylactic administration of H2 – antagonists.
Contraindications
- disorders of amino acid metabolism extrahepatic etiologies
