DESCRIPTION
Spelink 44-a drug for the treatment and prevention of colibacteriosis, salmonellosis, swine dysentery, chicken coplasmosis. The preparation is in the form of a white or yellowish powder in double plastic bags
STRUCTURE
Spelink contains as active substances in 1000 g: spectinomycin sulfate 22 g and lincomycin hydrochloride 22 g.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The combination of two antibiotics spectinomycin and lincomycin in Spelink ® - 44 has a synergistic effect on most Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, including Escherichia, Salmonella, Bordetella, as well as on Treponema chiodisenterica and mycoplasma.
When administered orally, the active components of the drug are absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and penetrate into many organs and tissues. The maximum concentration of antibiotics in the blood is reached 3 to 6 hours after administration of the drug.
Lincomycin and spectinomycin are excreted unchanged from the body, mainly in the urine and feces.
INDICATIONS
treatment and prevention of colibacteriosis, salmonellosis, swine dysentery;
treatment and prevention of colibacteriosis and mycoplasmosis of chickens.
DOSAGES
The drug is used for pigs for therapeutic purposes orally in a mixture with feed at a dose of 1 kg of Spelink-44 per 1 ton of feed for 7 days, and for chronic disease and for preventive purposes for 21 to 28 days.
In severe cases of the disease, the dose of Spelink-44 can be increased to 2 kg per 1 ton of feed for 7 days.
Chickens Spelink-44 is used at the rate of 1.1 g per 1 kg of body weight for 3 to 7 days.
Spelink-44 (water-soluble powder) it can also be used dissolved in water. The solution is prepared based on the need of the bird in water for 1 day. During the treatment period, the bird receives only water containing Spelink ® - 44.
SIDE EFFECT
In some cases, pigs may develop redness of the skin and mucous membranes after starting the drug, which gradually disappears within 5 to 8 days without stopping the treatment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is forbidden to use Spelink-44 to ruminants, horses, rabbits, laying hens.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter for the meat of pigs that were used Spelink-44 is allowed no earlier than 3 days, and poultry – no earlier than 2 days after the discontinuation of the drug. In the case of forced slaughter before the deadline, the meat can be used as food for carnivores or for the production of meat and bone meal.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Store the drug with caution (list B) in a dry, protected from light place, at a temperature of 0 to 25 °C. The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of manufacture.
