DESCRIPTION
Globfel-4 (Globfel-4) - liquid for injection against panleukopenia, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirosis and cat chlamydia. In appearance, globulin is a colorless or slightly yellowish, transparent or opalescent liquid. For long-term storage at the bottom of the bottle (ampoule) a slight precipitate may fall out, which, when shaken, is easily broken into a uniform suspension.
STRUCTURE
Globfel-4 contains gamma-and beta-globulin fractions of equine blood serum, hyperimmunized with industrial strains of panleukopenia viruses, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and cat chlamydia.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Globulin Globfel-4, when administered for prophylactic purposes to cats and other feline animals, provides passive immunity to panleukopenia, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirosis and chlamydia, which persists for up to two weeks.
After this period, vaccination is carried out to create active immunity.
Globfel-4 has therapeutic properties that are most pronounced in the incubation and prodromal periods of the infectious process.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Globfel-4 is intended for the prevention and treatment of panleukopenia, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirosis and chlamydia in cats and other feline animals. The greatest therapeutic effect is achieved when using the drug in the initial (to terminal) stages of diseases.
Globfel-4 is administered subcutaneously.
For the prevention of viral infections, cats weighing up to 10 kg are injected with 1.0 ml, over 10 kg-2.0 ml of the drug once.
For therapeutic purposes, Globfel-4 is administered subcutaneously in the indicated doses 2-4 times with an interval of 12-24 hours, depending on the severity of the animal's condition.
When using the drug, it is necessary to observe the rules of asepsis.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Symptoms of panleukopenia, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirosis and chlamydia in animals with an overdose of globulin are not aggravated when used in the initial stages of the disease.
Minor soreness is allowed at the time of administration of the drug. After the use of the drug, animals may experience a slight increase in temperature and allergic reactions.
To exclude these phenomena, it is recommended to introduce one of the antihistamines (diphenhydramine, suprastin, tavegil, diprazine, etc.) parenterally to the animal 10-15 minutes before the use of Globfel-4 according to the generally accepted method.
Violations of the globulin regimen should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in the preventive and therapeutic effect.
The drug is not used in the same syringe with other biological products and medicines.
The terms of possible use of animal products after administration of the drug are not established.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is forbidden to use globulin on clinically ill and weakened animals, in which the clinical signs are due to other etiological factors.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using the drug in accordance with this instruction, no side effects are noted.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of globulin is 2 years from the date of release, subject to storage and transportation conditions.
After the expiration date, the drug is not suitable for use.
The globulin is stored and transported in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 2°C to 8°C. Keep out of the reach of children.
