Composition and form of issue:
Oral suspension, 1 ml contains:
Pyrantel (as embonate) 50 mg
in dark glass bottles 15 ml (measuring cap) in the paper cartons 1 a bottle.
Description of dosage form:
Suspension of light yellow color with a characteristic smell.
Pharmacological action:
Blocks neuromuscular transmission in sensitive helminths.
Pharmacokinetics:
Practically not absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract. After intake of a single dose of 10 mg/kg of body weight Cmax is 0, 005-0, 13 µg/ml and is achieved within 1-3 h. Partially metabolized in liver to N-methyl-1, 3-propandiamine. Excreted in feces (50% of the dose in an unmodified form) and urine (about 7% in an unmodified form and as metabolites).
Description of pharmacological action:
Acts on helminths in the early phase of development and Mature forms, does not affect the larvae in the migration stage. Active against Enterobius vermicularis, Ascaris lumbricoides, Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus, Trichostrongylus orientalis, Trichostrongylus colubriformis.
Indications:
Enterobiasis, ascariasis, hookworm, necatoroz.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity.
Use during pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only under the strict supervision of a doctor.
Side effect:
From the nervous system and sensory organs: rarely — headache, dizziness, drowsiness, insomnia, weakness in some cases — hearing impairment, hallucinations, confusion, paresthesia.
From the digestive tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain rarely — increased activity of hepatic transaminases.
Other: skin rash, fever.
Dosage and administration:
Inside, during or after meals.
Enterobiosis, ascariasis and mixed infestations: once 10 mg / kg.

Hookworm disease: 10 mg/kg/day for 3 days.
Necatorosis: 20 mg / kg for 2 days (in severe forms).
Precautionary measures:
In enterobioze should be simultaneous treatment of co-resident individuals. After the end of treatment should conduct a benchmarking study of a feces on eggs a worm.
