Pharmacodynamics

Taurine is a natural product of metabolism of sulfur-containing amino acids: cysteine, probably facilitates methionine. Taurine has a the and membrane-protective properties, has a positive effect on the phospholipid composition of cell membranes, normalizes the metabolism of calcium ions and potassium in the cells. Taurine have revealed the properties of the inhibitory neurotransmitter, it has an antistress effect, can regulate the release gammaaminobutyric acid (GABA), adrenaline, prolactin and other hormones, and to regulate responses to them. Participating in the synthesis of proteins of the respiratory chain in the mitochondria, taurine regulates oxidative processes and exhibits antioxidant activity; effect on enzymes such as the cytochromes involved in the metabolism of different xenobiotics.

Taurine improves metabolic processes in heart, liver and other organs and tissues. In chronic diffuse diseases of the liver taurine increases blood flow and reduces the severity of cytolysis.

Treatment with Cardioactive Taurine heart failure (SSN) leads to a decrease of stagnation in small and big circles of blood circulation: reduces intracardiac diastolic pressure, increased myocardial contractility (maximum rate of contraction and relaxation, the indices of contractility and relaxation). The drug is moderately lowers blood pressure (BP) in patients with arterial hypertension and has virtually no effect on blood pressure in patients with heart failure with reduced HELL.

Cardioactive Taurine reduces the side effects that occur with an overdose of cardiac glycosides and-blockers slow calcium channels, reduces the hepatotoxicity of antifungal drugs. Improves performance during extreme physical exertion.

Diabetes approximately 2 weeks after you start taking the drug Cardioactive the as taurine reduced the concentration of glucose in the blood. It is also noticed a significant decrease in the concentration of triglycerides, to a lesser extent, cholesterol concentration, reduction of atherogenic lipids in plasma. Long-term use of the drug (about 6 months), marked improvement in microcirculatory blood flow of the eye.

Pharmacokinetics

After a single oral administration of 500 mg of the drug Radioactive Taurine, the active ingredient taurine in 15-20 minutes is in the blood, reaching a maximum after 1.5-2 hours. All the drug is excreted through the day.

Indications for use

The drug used in combination therapy:

  • cardiovascular failure of various etiologies;
  • intoxication caused by the ingestion of cardiac glycosides;
  • diabetes mellitus type 1;
  • diabetes type 2 diabetes, including those with moderate hypercholesterolemia.

Contraindications

  • Severe heart failure in the decompensation stage.
  • Hypersensitivity to the drug.
  • Cardioactive the as taurine is not recommended for use in children under the age of 18 years due to insufficient data on efficacy and safety.

Precautions when using

To apply caution in patients with severe renal impairment,concurrent use with cardiac glycosides, blockers “slow” calcium channels (bmkk).

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Not recommended the use of the drug Cardioactive Taurine during pregnancy and lactation in the absence of adequate clinical experience in this category of patients.

Method of application and doses

Before using the product consult a doctor.

In heart failure Cardioactive Taurine is the inside of 250-500 mg (1/2 – 1 tablet) 2 times a day 20 minutes before meals, course of treatment – 30 days. The dose may be increased to 2-3 g (4-6 tablets) a day.

Intoxication cardiac glycosides is not less than 750 mg (1.5 tablets) per day.

Diabetes type 1 500 mg (1 tablet) 2 times daily in combination with insulin for 3-6 months.

Diabetes type 2 diabetes of 500 mg (1 tablet) 2 times a day combined with diet or other hypoglycemic agents for oral administration.

Diabetes type 2 diabetes, including those with moderate hypercholesterolemia – 500 mg (1 tablet) 2 times a day.

Side effects

Possible allergic reactions to the drug components.

Overdose

Data on overdose lacking.

Interaction with other drugs

Cardioactive Taurine can be used with other drugs.

Taurine enhances the inotropic effect of cardiac glycosides.

Special instructions

In the complex treatment of heart failure, diabetes, intoxication cardiac glycosides, the drug is under the supervision of a physician.

The drug has no effect on performance of potentially hazardous activities, require high concentration and speed of psychotropic reactions (management of vehicles, work with moving machinery, work Manager, operator, etc.).
