Description of the dosage form
Suppositories are cylindrical in shape, from yellow to brown. Heterogeneity of color in the form of inclusions of a darker color is allowed.
Pharmacodynamics
The active substance that is part of the drug ADENOPROSINE® is a biomass obtained from the larvae of insects of the unpaired silkworm species (Lymantria dispar), which has an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect.
Biologically active components of the drug reduce the formation of phospholipase A2 and the release of arachidonic acid with a decrease in the synthesis of PG and LT (suppress 5-lipoxygenase). The drug reduces capillary permeability, reduces prostate edema, and improves microcirculation in the prostate gland.
The effect of the drug ADENOPROSINE® is manifested due to pathogenetic and non-specific mechanisms. The drug ADENOPROSINE® improves urodynamic parameters (increases the value of the maximum volume rate of urine flow, reduces the time of urination, reduces the amount of residual urine) and the General condition of patients with BPH and chronic prostatitis (reduces the index of chronic prostatitis, the content of white blood cells in the secret of the prostate gland, improves the uniformity of its echostructure). The drug regulates the tone and peristalsis of the lower segments of the urinary tract, reducing the frequency of urination, including at night, and reducing dysuric phenomena, the feeling of incomplete emptying of the bladder and stress during urination. The antioxidant effect of the drug ADENOPROSINE® is expressed by inhibiting lipid peroxidation due to the antioxidant water-soluble compounds of the drug.
Pharmacokinetics
The effect of the drug Adenoprosine® is the combined effect of biologically active components of biomass obtained from insect larvae of the species Lymantria dispar, so it is not possible to conduct pharmacokinetic studies at the moment.
The testimony of the drug Adenoprosine®:
- benign prostatic hyperplasia;
- chronic prostatitis (in combination therapy).
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
- acute urinary retention;
- malignant neoplasms of the prostate;
- children under 18 years of age.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The drug is not used in women.
Side effect
On the part of the gastrointestinal tract: rarely-diarrhea or frequent stools; itching in the anal area.
Possible allergic reactions, General weakness.
Interaction
To date of cases of clinically significant drug interactions of the drug Adenoprosine® with other drugs was not reported.
Dosage and administration
Rectally, 1 supp. 1 time per day (preferably overnight at the same time).
The duration of treatment is from 1 to 3 months, depending on the intensity of inflammatory processes in the prostate and the severity of symptoms of BPH, as well as their combination.
If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated.
Overdose
To date, no cases of overdose have been reported.
Special instruction
The drug should be used after defecation or enema. It is recommended that the patient stay in the supine position for 30-40 minutes after administration of the drug.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles, mechanisms. No effect.
Form release
Rectal suppositories, 29 mg. 5 supp. placed in a contour cell packaging made of PVC/PE film. 2 contour cell packages are placed in a cardboard package.
