Treatment and prevention of the consequences of adverse effects on the skin of environmental factors (including cold, wind, humidity).

Pharmacokinetics

The low molecular weight of dexpanthenol, hydrophilicity and low polarity make it possible for active substances to penetrate all layers of the skin.

When applied topically, it is rapidly absorbed and converted to Pantothenic acid, binds to plasma proteins (mainly beta-globulin and albumin).

Clinical pharmacology

A drug that improves tissue regeneration, for external use.

Dexpanthenol is a derivative of Pantothenic acid, which is a water-soluble B vitamin necessary as a component of coenzyme A for carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism. It plays an important role in the processes of acetylation during gluconeogenesis, the release of energy from carbohydrates, the synthesis and breakdown of fatty acids, the synthesis of sterols and steroid hormones, and acetylcholine.

Pantothenic acid is necessary to maintain the normal function of the epithelium, an increase in the need for it is noted when the skin or tissues are damaged, in this case, the local deficiency of Pantothenic acid can be filled with local application of D-Panthenol cream.

It stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cellular metabolism, and increases the strength of collagen fibers.

It has a regenerating, weak anti-inflammatory effect, nourishes and softens the skin.

Excipients improve the therapeutic properties of the cream.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It can be used according to indications.

Contraindications

Possible: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effect

When used according to indications and in recommended doses, no side effects were observed.

Dosage and administration

The cream is applied in a thin layer to the affected area, lightly rubbing, 2-4 times/day. (if necessary, more often). If applied to an infected skin surface, it should be pre-treated with an antiseptic.

Nursing mothers lubricate the nipple with cream after each feeding.

Infants apply the cream after each change of underwear or water treatment.
