Structure and Composition:

Pharmachologic effect:
Promotes transition menstrual cycle proliferative phase to secretory. It inhibits the secretion of pituitary gonadotropins, preventing the maturation of follicles and ovulation.
Testimony:
Premenstrual syndrome, dysmenorrhea with the reduction of the secretory phase, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, glandular cystic endometrial hyperplasia, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, mastalgia, the prevention and cessation of lactation, contraception.
Contraindications:
Malignant tumors of the breast and reproductive organs.
Side effect:
Indigestion, nausea, headache, fatigue, paresthesia, mastalgia, intermenstrual bleeding, swelling, change in body weight.
Drug Interactions:
Drugs which activate the hepatic microsomal enzymes (. Barbiturates, etc.), accelerate metabolism and weaken the effect of the contrary, inhibitors (cimetidine, etc.) - Increase it.
Dosage and administration:
Inside. Premenstrual syndrome, mastalgia, dysmenorrhoea: from 16 to 25 day menstrual cycle of 5-10 mg per day in combination with an estrogen.
In dysfunctional uterine bleeding, cystic glandular hyperplasia of the endometrium: to stop the bleeding - 5.10 mg per day for 6-12 days to prevent bleeding - 5.10 mg per day with 16 to 25 day cycle for 6 months.
To stop the lactation: first 3 days - 20 mg per day, followed by a 4 day - 15 mg, and then another 3 days - 10 mg.
Contraception: 1.25-2.5 mg per day, 1-5 days of the menstrual cycle for 21 days (in combination with ethinyl estradiol), then a break of 7 days.
