Pharmacological action

Nootropic. Glutamic acid belongs to the group of nonessential amino acids, in particular, to neyromediatornyh amino acids that stimulate the transfer of excitation in synapses of the CNS. Glutamic acid participates in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, oxidative processes, reduction in skeletal muscle, detoxification and elimination from the body of ammonia, promotes the synthesis of acetylcholine and ATP, transfer of potassium ions. Increases organism resistance to hypoxia.

Testimony

In complex therapy: epilepsy, mostly small seizures with equivalents somatogenic, involutional, psychosis, reactive States with the phenomena of depression, exhaustion, mental retardation in children, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, poliomyelitis (acute and recovery periods), progressive myopathy (in combination with glycine or pahikarpin), the elimination and prevention of the neurotoxic effects produced by drugs-derivatives of isonicotinic acid hydrazide.

Side effects
