Description of the dosage form:

Transparent solution of red color.

Description of pharmacological action:

The drug contains a combination of b vitamins: thiamine (B1), pyridoxine (B6) and cyanocobalamin (B12). They play a special role as coenzymes in the intermediate metabolism occurring in the Central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. A special role in the metabolic processes of the nervous system is played by the combined action of vitamins B1, B6 and B12, which justifies their combined use.

The combined use of b vitamins accelerates the regeneration of damaged nerve fibers. It is proved that the effectiveness of the combination exceeds the effectiveness of the individual component. Like other vitamins, they are essential nutrients that cannot be synthesized directly in the body.

Therapeutic use of these vitamins in various diseases of the nervous system is aimed at, on the one hand, to compensate for the existing insufficiency (possibly due to the increased demand of the body due to the existing disease) and, on the other hand, to stimulate the natural mechanisms of restoring the function of nerve tissues. The analgesic effect of a complex of b vitamins has also been proven to have a beneficial effect on the therapeutic result.

Indications:

in the complex therapy of diseases of the nervous system of various origins:

  • trigeminal neuralgia facial
  • nerve
  • paresis
  • pain syndrome caused by diseases of the spine (intercostal neuralgia, lumbar syndrome, cervical syndrome, shoulder-hand syndrome, radicular syndrome caused by degenerative changes of the spine)
  • lumbago, sciatica
  • herpes
  • zoster.

Contraindications:

  • hypersensitivity to any component of the drug
  • children's age.

Use during pregnancy and lactation:

Not recommended.

Side effect:

In some cases, with parenteral administration of vitamin B1, sweating, tachycardia and allergic reactions in the form of itching and rash are observed.

In rare cases, a hypersensitivity reaction may occur-exanthema, shortness of breath, anaphylactic shock (after parenteral administration of vitamin B1).

in some cases, acne, eczema and urticaria were observed when vitamin B12 was administered (mainly with intravenous infusions).

Drug interaction:

when used simultaneously with levodopa, vitamin B6 may reduce the antiparkinsonian effect of levodopa.

An increase in the need for vitamin B6 may occur when D-penicillamine and cycloserine are prescribed simultaneously.

It is not recommended to mix the drug with other drugs in the same syringe.

Vitamin B1 is destroyed when interacting with solutions containing sulfites.

Method of administration and dosage:

i/m (deep injections into the gluteal muscle).

in cases of severe pain, it is advisable to start treatment with I / m administration of 1 amp. (3 ml) per day until acute symptoms are relieved.

After improvement of symptoms or in cases of moderate severity — 1 amp. 2-3 times a week for 2-3 weeks.

For maintenance therapy, to prevent relapse or to continue the course of treatment, we recommend Neurobion in a different dosage form (coated tablets).

Overdose:

Vitamins B1, B6 and B12 have a wide therapeutic range.

Symptoms of overdose are not observed when using the drug in the recommended doses and mode.

With the introduction of high doses of vitamins for a long time (>2 months), symptoms of intoxication may occur.

Vitamin B1: after administration of a dose exceeding the recommended dose by more than 100 times — headache, muscle spasm, muscle weakness, paralysis, arrhythmia, allergic reactions.

Vitamin B6: neuropathies with ataxia, sensitivity disorders, epileptiform seizures with EEG changes. After administration of more than 2 g/day, cases of hypochromic anemia and seborrheic dermatitis were described.

Vitamin B12: after high-dose parenteral administration, allergic reactions, eczematous skin disorders, and a benign form of acne were observed.

If symptoms of overdose occur, treatment with the drug should be discontinued. If necessary, symptomatic therapy is prescribed, including desensitizing.

Special instructions:

the Drug should not be administered in/in.

Other vitamins, especially cyanocobalamin, can be inactivated in the presence of vitamin B1 degradation products.

The clinical picture, as well as laboratory tests for funicular myelosis or pernicious anemia, may lose their specificity when vitamin B12 is administered.
