The composition and form of issue:

Solution for infusion of 1.5%. 1 liter contains:

meglumine sodium succinate 15 g

sodium chloride 6 g

potassium chloride 0.3 g

magnesium chloride (anhydrous) 0.12 g

sodium hydroxide 1,788 g

water to 1 liter

in glass bottles of 200 and 400 ml

Description pharmaceutical form:

Clear, colorless liquid.

Description pharmacological action:

Has a positive effect on aerobic processes in the cell, decreasing the production of free radicals and restores energy potential cells. Activates enzymatic processes of the Krebs cycle and promotes utilization of fatty acids and glucose by cells, normalizes the acid-base balance and blood gas composition. It has a mild diuretic effect.

Indications:

Used in adults and children 1 year of age as anti-hypoxic and detoxifying treatment for acute endogenous and exogenous intoxications of different etiologies.

Contraindications:

  • idiosyncrasy
  • the condition after a traumatic brain injury, accompanied by swelling of the brain
  • expressed violations of kidney function
  • pregnancy
  • lactation.

Side effects:

With the rapid introduction of the drug possible short-term reactions in the form of sensations of heat and redness of the upper body.

Method of application and dose:

In/in the drip. Adults: in/in drip rate of up to 90 drops/min (1-4. 5 ml/min) — 400-800 ml/day. The rate of administration and dosage is determined according to the severity of the patient. Children: in/in drip at the rate of 6-10 ml/kg of body weight, daily 1 time per day at a speed of 3-4 ml/min but not more than 400 ml/day. The rate of drug administration — not more than 11 days.

Special instructions:

Due to drug activation of aerobic processes in the body possible alkalinisation of the blood and urine.
