The composition and form of issue: 

Granules for preparation of oral solution 5 g

ornithine aspartate 3 g

Excipients: citric acid of the lemon and orange flavor saccharin cyclamate sodium orange yellow (E110) PVP levulose 

in bags of 5 grams in a cardboard pack 30 PCs.

Concentrate for solution for infusion. 1 ampoule contains:

ornithine aspartate 5 g

excipients: water for injections to 10 ml 

in dark glass ampoules of 10 ml in cartons of 10 vials.

Description pharmaceutical form:

Granules for preparation of solution for the reception inside: a mixture of granules of orange and white.

Concentrate for preparation of infusion solution: clear, slightly yellowish solution.

Pharmacokinetics:

Dissociates into ornithine and aspartate, which are absorbed in the small intestine by active transport through the intestinal epithelium. Excreted in urine via the urea cycle.

Description pharmacological action:

Involved in infinova cycle Krebs urea (urea biosynthesis from ammonia). Promotes the production of insulin and GH. Detoxification improves liver function, lowers elevated levels of ammonia in plasma. Improves protein metabolism in diseases requiring parenteral nutrition.

Indications:

  • acute and chronic liver disease accompanied by hyperammonemia
  • hepatic encephalopathy (latent and severe), including in the complex therapy in disorders of consciousness (coma or precoma)
  • parenteral nutrition in patients with protein insufficiency (as a corrective additive).

Contraindications:

Severe impairment of renal function (plasma creatinine levels of 3 mg/100 ml).

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

During pregnancy, the use of the drug is possible only under strict medical supervision. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.

Side effects:

Rare skin reactions, in some cases, nausea, vomiting.

Method of application and dose:

Inside, after eating, 1 Pak. granulate, previously dissolved in 200 ml of liquid 2-3 times per day.

In/in, usually 20 g (4 amp.), in hepatic encephalopathy, depending on the severity of the condition — up to 40 g (8 amp.) per day maximum infusion rate is 5 g/h.

Precautions:

With caution is prescribed to patients who engage in potentially hazardous activities, require increased attention and psychomotor speed reactions.

Special instructions:

Before the/in the introduction, dissolve the content of ampoule in 500 ml infusion solution (do not dissolve content of more than 6 amp.).

If you experience nausea or vomiting, you must optimize the speed of the drug.
