One reason - a violation of local anesthetic in the distribution intrathecal space due to its accumulation in the caudal part of or in communication with the main hindered cerebrospinal space. In such cases, adequate blockade can be achieved by changing the position of the patient's body. If you want to conduct more blockade, it is performed on a different level, using a smaller amount of local anesthetic. Allowed to hold no more than one more attempt.

Clinical and side effects of spinal bupivacaine at a dose greater than 20 mg have not been studied.

In adults, on the background of spinal blockade hypotension usually develops.

The development of anesthesia is slower than with lidocaine, anesthesia duration from 60 to 120 minutes.
