The composition and form of issue: 

1 capsule contains Ketoprofen 50 mg in a blister of 10 PCs., in a cardboard bundle 3 blisters.

1 rectal suppository-100 mg in a strip of 6 PCs., in a cardboard bundle 2 strips.

100 g gel-2, 5 g in tubes of 30 or 50 g, in a cardboard bundle 1 tube.

1 ampoule with freeze-dried powder for preparation of solution for injections-100 mg, complete with solvent in ampoules in a cardboard bundle of 6 sets.

Pharmacological action:

Inhibits cyclooxygenase and inhibits the synthesis of PG.

Indications:

Inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system: osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, tendosynovit, sciatica, myalgia, sciatica, bruises and sprains of muscles, tendons and ligaments, swelling (symptomatic therapy) pain (postoperative, posttraumatic pain, pain in bone metastases), renal colic, algomenorrhea.

The injection solution is an acute pain syndrome.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity (W. to other NSAIDs), disease of the gastrointestinal tract in acute phase, expressed violations of the kidneys and liver, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, disorders of coagulation, hemorrhoids and proctitis (suppositories), pregnancy, lactation, children up to age 15 years.

Application during pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Contraindicated. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.

Side effect:

From the nervous system and sensory organs: dizziness, headache, asthenia.

From the digestive tract: gastralgia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, gastrointestinal hemorrhages.

Other: transient dysuria, allergic skin reactions (itching, urticaria), using suppositories — burning, tenesmus, loose stools.

Method of application and doses:

Capsules: inside, after meals, without chewing and drinking enough water, 50-100 mg 2-3 times a day.

Suppositories: rectally, 1 supp. (100 mg) 1-2 times a day.

Gel: locally, apply a small amount of gel with a thin layer on the skin over the focus of inflammation and lightly rubbed 2-3 times a day. The duration of treatment should not exceed 14 days without medical advice.

Injections: deep into the muscle of 100 mg 1-2 times a day for usually a few days. After removing the acute pain syndrome, capsules or suppositories are used.

The maximum daily dose is 300 mg.

Precautionary measures:

Be wary appoint patients with human liver and/or kidney, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract in the anamnesis, bronchial asthma, rhinitis, urticaria, polyps are nasal mucosa, cardiac insufficiency and the elderly.

Avoid contact with gel on the damaged surface of the skin, open wounds, eyes and other mucous membranes.
