Intesti-bacteriophage is a liquid bacteriophage for oral administration in vials of 100 ml of 1 pc. or 20 ml of 4 pcs. in a package.

Intesti-bacteriophage is a mixture of sterile filtrates of shigellosis phagolysates (Flexner serovars 1, 2, Z, 4, 6 and Sonne), salmonella (paratyph A, paratyph B, typhimurium, cholera suis, infantis, oranienburg, enteritidis), enteropathogenic Escherichia coli of the most etiologically significant serovariants, proteus (vulgaris and mirabilis), staphylococcal, pseudomonas eruginosa and enterococcal bacteria.

Intesti-bacteriophage liquid is a transparent yellow liquid of varying intensity, a greenish tint is allowed.

Indications

Intesti-bacteriophage is used for the treatment and prevention of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract caused by the above-mentioned microorganisms or their combination, including:

Method of administration and dosage

The main condition for the successful use of Intesti-bacteriophage is the determination of the phage sensitivity of the pathogen and the earlier use of the drug.

Intesti-bacteriophage is intended for use per os and per rectum with an enema.

Inside (Per os) Intesti-bacteriophage is taken 4 times a day on an empty stomach 1-1.5 hours before meals.

Rectally (Per rectum) in the form of enemas is prescribed 1 time a day after bowel emptying.

Children of the first days of life in the first two days of taking Intesti-bacteriophage should be diluted with boiled water 2 times. In the absence of adverse reactions (regurgitation, rashes on the skin), the drug is not used diluted in the future.

The course of treatment is from 7 to 10 days.

Before use, the bottle with Intesti-bacteriophage must be shaken.

Before taking Intesti-bacteriophage, children over 3 years old and adults should take a solution of baking soda (0.5 teaspoons per 0.5 cups of water) or alkaline mineral water.

Side effects
