pentoxifylline 600 mg

excipients: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose crospovidone the MCC colloidal silica anhydrous magnesium stearate polyethylene glycol 6000 talc titanium dioxide antispamimage agent SE2, poly - ethylacrylate, methyl methacrylate (NE30D Eudragit) 

blistere in 10 PCs., in box 2 blisters.

Description pharmaceutical form:

Pill oblong shape white color, with valium on both sides.

Pharmacological action:

It improves microcirculation and rheological properties of blood. Inhibits phosphodiesterase, contributing to the accumulation of camp in tissues and organs, including cells of smooth muscles of blood vessels, the formed elements of the blood. Agregatia stops platelets and red blood cells, increases the elasticity of the membrane, lowers the concentration of fibrinogen in plasma and enhances fibrinolysis. Improves the supply of tissues with oxygen, to the greatest extent in the extremities, Central nervous system and, to a lesser extent, in the kidneys. Slightly dilates coronary vessels.

Pharmacokinetics:

Indications:

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to pentoxifylline and other methylxanthine derivative (caffeine, theophylline, theobromine), acute myocardial infarction, acute hemorrhagic stroke, massive bleeding, bleeding in the retina of the eye.

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Contraindicated in pregnancy. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.

Side effects:

Gastrointestinal tract: nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, feeling of fullness in the abdomen and epigastric pain.

CNS: rarely — headache, dizziness, anxiety, sleep disturbance.

Cardiovascular system: in high doses decrease blood pressure, tachycardia, angina, irregular heartbeat, redness of the face.

Allergic reactions: possible itching, skin rash, urticaria, angioedema, rarely, anaphylactic shock.

Hematopoietic system and blood coagulation system: rarely — bleeding (in the gastrointestinal tract, skin, mucous membranes), thrombocytopenia, aplastic anemia.

Drug interactions:

Pentoxifylline increases the effect of antihypertensive drugs, anticoagulants, insulin, oral hypoglycemic drugs.

Method of application and dose:

Inside, after eating, with liquid squeezed enough liquid.

Overdose:

Symptoms: nausea, dizziness, low blood pressure, increased body temperature (fever), loss of consciousness, possible tonic-clonic seizures. Vomiting "coffee grounds", arrhythmia, areflexia.

Treatment: gastric lavage, symptomatic treatment, specific antidote is absent.

Precautions:

Caution should be exercised when administered to patients with severe hypotension, with a tendency to orthostatic hypotension, in severe coronarosclerosis and cerebral arteriosclerosis with arterial hypertension, heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, with impaired renal function patients with surgery (risk of bleeding).
