Description pharmaceutical form:

White or almost white tablets PLANO-cylindrical shape with a smooth shiny surface with beveled edges without pores.

Feature:

Polyvalent antigenic complex mixture of bacterial lysates, which is consistent with the agents most frequently causing inflammation in the mouth and throat.

Description pharmacological action:

Immunostimulatory preparation of bacterial origin for local use in dentistry and otolaryngology. Activates phagocytosis, increases the amount of immunocompetent cells, enhances the production of lysozyme, interferon and secretory immunoglobulin A in saliva.

Indications:

Treatment and/or prevention of:

  • superficial and deep periodontal disease, periodontitis, stomatitis, glossitis, aphthous stomatitis
  • inflammatory and infectious diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx
  • erythematous and ulcerative gingivitis
  • dysbacteriosis of the oral cavity
  • pharyngitis
  • chronic tonsillitis
  • ulceration caused by dentures
  • infection after tooth extraction, implantation of artificial dental roots
  • preoperative preparation for tonsillectomy
  • the postoperative period after tonsillectomy.

Contraindications:

increased individual sensitivity to the drug or its components

children up to age 3 years.

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Information about the use of Imudon in pregnant women insufficient. Relevant data from animal studies and epidemiological studies do not exist.

It is not recommended to take Imudon during pregnancy or lactation.

Side effects:

Rare:

  • gastrointestinal: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain
  • allergic reactions: rash, urticaria, angioedema.

Drug interactions:

Adults and adolescents over 14 years

In acute inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat, and exacerbation of chronic diseases: — 8 table. a day. Pills resolves (without chewing) in the mouth at intervals of 1 h. the Average duration of treatment is 10 days.

For the prevention of chronic inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx: for 6 tab. a day. Pills resolves (without chewing) in the mouth every 2 hours course Duration — 20 days.

Children from 3 to 14 years

In the treatment of acute and exacerbation of chronic inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx, as well as for the prevention of: 6 table. a day. Pills resolves (without chewing) in the mouth at intervals of 2 h. the Duration of treatment in acute diseases — 10 days, for the prevention of chronic — 20 days.

It is recommended to carry out preventive courses admission Imudona 3-4 times a year.

Overdose:

Overdoses of the drug Imudon not described.

Special instructions:

Children 3 to 6 years to resolve tablets in the oral cavity under the supervision of an adult!
