Instruction for use:
The drug is a microbial mass of live antagonistically active strains of E. coli (E. Soli M-17), lyophilized in the culture medium with the addition of one of the protective drying media: sucrose-gelatin, sucrose.
One dose contains not less than 10x109 living E. coli.
Crystalline or porous mass of yellowish, or beige, or whitish-gray color of different intensity, with a specific smell.
Biological property. The therapeutic effect is due to the antagonistic activity of E. coli in relation to pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms, especially in relation to Shigella, Salmonella, Proteus.
Appointment. Treatment of prolonged and chronic dysentery, chronic colitis and enterocolitis of various etiologies, dysbacteriosis of various etiologies, treatment of convalescents after acute intestinal infections in children from 6 months and adults.
Indications for use. The colibacterin used in treatment:

  • protracted and chronic dysentery,
  • chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (nonspecific and specific chronic colitis and enterocolitis with severe dyspeptic disorders),
  • with dysbacteriosis of different etiology,
  • treatment of convalescents after acute intestinal infections.

Dosage and administration. Before reception from a vial remove a metal cap and a rubber stopper.
The contents of the bottle diluted with cold boiled water at the rate of 5 ml (one teaspoon) per dose. When dissolving the drug with water for 5 minutes, a turbid suspension with a specific smell is formed.
Diluted drug can not be stored.
The drug is administered orally for 30 -40 minutes before meals in the following daily doses:

  • children from 6 months to 1 g 2-4 doses,
  • from 1 g to 3 years - 4-8 doses,
  • above 3 years and adults 6 to 12 doses. Daily doses can be divided into 2-3 doses of the Number of doses and duration of treatment is determined by the doctor depending on the severity, duration of the disease and the severity of dysbacteriosis.

If necessary, treatment can be repeated, but not earlier than 3-6 months with a preliminary study of the microflora of the gastrointestinal tract. In between appointments colibacterin patients shown bifidobacteria or lactosidase preparaty.
Side effect. The use of colibacterin usually does not cause adverse reactions. In rare cases, in the process of treatment may appear mild dyspeptic disorders, which usually take place independently and do not require the abolition of the drug or the appointment of treatment. In the case of a more pronounced reaction, it is advisable to temporarily discontinue the drug or discontinue treatment with colibacterin.
Interaction. It is not recommended to carry out simultaneous chemo-and antibiotic therapy.
Contraindications. Specific and nonspecific ulcerative colitis.

Shelf life. Storage and transportation conditions.
Shelf life 1 year. The drug is stored (out of reach of children) and transported in accordance with SP 3.3.2.1248-03 at a temperature not exceeding 10 °C.
Unsuitable for use:

  1. The drug is not labeled.
  2. The drug, the integrity of the packaging is broken.
  3. The drug with altered physical properties and the presence of impurities.
  4. With expired shelf life.
