The composition and form of issue:

Capsules. 1 capsule contains active substance:

lyophilized bacterial lysates of 18 strains of Escherichia coli 6 mg

excipients: propyl gallate sodium glutamate mannitol starch pregelatinized magnesium stearate colorants (E171, E172) gelatin

blistere in 10 PCs. in cardboard pack 3 blisters.

Description pharmaceutical form:

Capsules: hard gelatin, size # 3, cover orange opaque body opaque yellow color.

The capsule contains a light beige powder.

Description pharmacological action:

Immunopharmacological studies have shown that Uro-Vaxom has the following action:

- stimulates T-lymphocytes

- induces the formation of endogenous interferon

- increases the content of IgA, including in the urine.

Clinical pharmacology:

Clinical studies have shown that Uro-Vaxom reduces the frequency of recurrent infections of the urinary tract, especially cystitis.

Indications:

Combined treatment and prophylaxis of relapses of chronic infections of the urinary tract, especially cystitis, regardless of the nature of microogranisms, combined with antibiotics or antiseptics (4 years old).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

A study of reproduction in animals showed no risk to fetus, but controlled studies in pregnant women have not been conducted. In relation to nursing special studies have not been conducted and information on this issue to date are not available.

Side effects:

Some individuals may experience minor gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, nausea, vomiting), skin reactions (itching, exanthema, erythema) and limited to allergic skin reactions. Rarely a slight fever. In the case of more serious complications, treatment should be discontinued and consult your doctor.

Drug interactions:

Interaction with other drugs to date are not installed. As a precaution you should not use the drug for 2 weeks before and for 2 weeks after ingestion of live vaccines. Immunosuppressive drugs can influence the effect of the drug.

Method of application and dose:

Inside.

Treatment: 1 capsule. daily in the morning on an empty stomach as extra HP in conventional antimicrobial therapy, until disappearance of the symptoms, but not less than 10 days. The maximum period of treatment — 3 months.

Prevention of recurrence of chronic urinary tract infections: 1 capsule. daily in the morning on an empty stomach for 3 months.

If the child is difficult to swallow the capsule, open it and mix the contents with a drink (fruit juice, milk, etc.).

The duration of treatment or re-appointment of therapy should be determined by the doctor based on the health status of the patient.

Overdose:

Data on overdoses do not exist. The nature of Uro-Vaxom and the results of a study of its toxicity in animals indicate that overdose is unlikely.
