Rectal suppositories 1 supp. contains:
microbial cells of Escherichia coli killed by phenol 1000 ppm
hydrocortisone (in 387.1 mg aqueous slurry) 5 mg
excipients: hard fat macrogol-glycerol hydroxystearate acetylcysteine phenol (preservative) etilendiamintetraatsetata disodium salt
in blistere 5 PCs in a carton 2 blisters.
Pharmacological action:
Specific forms and stimulates non-specific immunity.
Description pharmacological action:
A combination drug consisting of two active components — suspension culture of bacteria that contains inactivated bacteria and their metabolism, and hydrocortisone. Stimulates T-system of immunity, enhance the phagocytic activity of leukocytes and cells of the reticuloendothelial system, increases the role of some humoral factors of nonspecific immunity (induces the formation of cytokines), enhances the formation of antibodies in the affected area. Concentrated lipopolysaccharides of cell membranes and metabolites colon Bacillus different strains including resistant to antibiotics and antibacterial agents etc., lead to a rise in local tissue resistance to the effects of pathogenic microflora. The hydrocortisone (contained in a small dose) enhances the effect of suspension culture bacteria due to anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and protivozudnoe action, which is manifested in the decrease of exudation, the normalization of the permeability and tonus of blood vessels, decrease swelling, redness, itching, stimulate the regeneration of damaged tissues.
Indications:
Gemorroy (mostly clerical), dermatitis and eczema in the anus (ointment) anal and genital itching allergic lesions of the skin (ointment) anopapillit, cracks anal area, including WAN (ointment), conditions after operations on the anorectal region (to stimulate healing). It is recommended mainly in acute cases.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to phenol, specific lesions in the anogenital region (including tuberculosis, syphilis, gonorrhoea, fungal infections, viral diseases).
Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:
To apply caution in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Side effects:
Rarely, allergic reactions (related to the use of phenol as a preservative). With prolonged use at high doses, we cannot exclude the development of systemic effects characteristic of corticosteroids.
Method of application and dose:
Topically, rectally. Apply a thin layer over affected area morning and evening and after each bowel movement. For a deeper introduction of the ointment into the anal canal can be used screw applicator. Rectal suppositories in the acute period of disease apply 2-3 PCs a day. After the elimination of subjective symptoms on the affected area continue to lubricate 1 per day or inject 1 supp. 1 times a day for several days. If the drug is used to treat chronic dermatitis, after the disappearance of cutaneous manifestations it is recommended to extend the therapy for another 1-2 weeks. The combination of ointment and suppositories. After completion of the course of treatment to consolidate the therapeutic effect it is advisable to apply the drug (ointment or suppository), not containing hydrocortisone, for another 2-3 weeks.
