Pharmacological action

The Iodoantipyrine is an antiviral medication. 

The Iodoantipyrine has anti-inflammatory, and immunostimulant interferonogenic properties. Stabilizes biological membranes and prevents penetration of the virus into the cell. Is active inducer of alpha and beta interferon, stimulates cellular and humoral immunity. Active against tick-borne encephalitis virus, hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, vesicular stomatitis, influenza and parainfluenza.

Testimony

The Iodoantipyrine is used for the treatment and prevention of tick-borne encephalitis in adults, for the integrated treatment of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, for the prevention of influenza and SARS.

Contraindications

Idiosyncrasy Iodoantipyrine and other iodine-containing drugs, hyperthyroidism.

Method of application and doses

Tablets Iodoantipyrine after taking food.

Prevention and treatment of tick-borne encephalitis.

0.3 g (3 tablets) 3 times a day for the first 2 days

0.2 g (2 tablets) 3 times a day for the next 2 days

0.1 g (1 tablet) 3 times a day for the next 5 days.

Prevention during the stay in places associated with the possible suction mites:

0.2 g (2 tablets) 1 time per day during the period

0.2 g (2 tablets) 3 times a day for 2 days before visiting the places associated with the possible suction mites.

Treatment of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS).

The drug must be appointed within five days from the onset of the disease.

0.2 g (2 tablets) 3 times a day for the first four days, then 0.1 g (1 tablet) 3 times a day for the next five days.

For the prevention of influenza:

scheme 1: 

3 tablets 1 time a day for 2 days for 3-7 days prior to the start of the epidemic and then again at intervals of three weeks throughout epidepride.

scheme 2: 

2 tablets 1 time a day for 3 days, then a break for 1 week, then 2 tablets 1 time per day with interval of 1 week throughout the season.

scheme 3: 

1 tablet 1 time a day for 1 week, then break for 3 days and then at intervals during the season.

Side effects

The drug has low toxicity. Not mutagenic, embryotoxic action, immunotoxic and allergenic effects. Quite well tolerated, in some cases, possible diarrhoeal phenomenon, skin rash, itching and other allergic reactions. Discontinuation of the drug reaction data disappear.

Special instructions

In focal forms of tick-borne encephalitis initially assigned specific immunoglobulin in the usual way and after 2-3 days appoint Iodoantipyrine in the indicated dosages.

Drug interactions

Antacids and H2 receptor antagonists reduce the absorption of the drug and its effects. When co-administered with oral antidiabetic drugs, barbiturates, tritsiklicheskimi antidepressants, antikoagulyantami indirect action Iodoantipyrine enhances their effect by displacing them from the blood.
