Release form and composition:

The solution for the reception inside in the form of a transparent liquid reddish-purple color, with the smell of wild berries.

1 vial contains: pidotimod 400 mg

Auxiliary substances: sodium chloride, sodium saccharin, disodium edetate, trometamol (q.s. to pH 6.5), sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium parahydroxybenzoate, sorbitol 70%, flavor: fruit (with the smell of wild berries), dye anthocyanin, the dye Carmine [Ponceau 4R], purified water.

Pharmacological action:

Immunostimulatory drug. Pidotimod stimulates and regulates cellular and humoral immunity in conditions of immunodeficiency. Effect on T-cell immunity: pidotimod increases the activity of natural killer cells and activates phagocytosis. Effect on humoral immunity: pidotimod increases the production of cytokines.

Studies on volunteers showed a high level of absorption of the drug when taken orally. Bioavailability is 45%.

Excretion

T1/2 is 4 h.

Indications:

In the complex therapy:

— immunotherapy for bacterial, fungal and viral infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract

— immunotherapy for bacterial, fungal and viral infections of the urinary tract.

Dosing regimen:

Adults: 800 mg pidotimod (2 bottle) 2 times/day outside meals for 15 days. Daily dose should not exceed 1600 mg.

Children older than 3 years at 400 mg pidotimod (1 bottle) 2 times/day outside meals for 15 days. Daily dose of the drug for intake should not exceed 800 mg.

Dose and duration of use of the drug can be adjusted depending on the severity and intensity of symptoms. The course has a duration of 90 days.

Side effects:

Contraindications:
