Composition

1 dose:

interferon Alfa-2b human recombinant of at least 500 IU

excipients: disodium edetate dihydrate 0.5 mg, sodium chloride 4.1 mg, sodium hydrogen phosphate, dodecahydrate of 11.94 mg, potassium dihydrogen phosphate or 4.54 mg, povidone-8 THD 10 mg, macrogol 4000, 100 mg, purified water to 1 ml.

Pharmacological action

Pharm Group: Interferon. Immunomodulatory drug with antiviral effect.

Farmgate: the Drug has immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and antiviral effect.

Pharmacokinetics: in intra application concentration of the active substance is achieved in the blood, significantly below the limit of detection (limit of determination of interferon Alfa-2b — 1-2 IU/ml) and has no clinical significance.

Testimony

Prevention and treatment of influenza and ARVI in children and adults.

Contraindications

• individual intolerance of the interferon and components included in the drug Grippferon,
  
• severe form of allergic diseases.
  

Special instructions

Effects on ability to drive or to perform work requiring high speed physical and mental reactions. The drug does not affect ability to operate vehicles and mechanisms.

Method of application and doses

The intranasal route.

At the first sign of the disease Grippferon® is applied for 5 days:

- under 1 year — 1 drop/dose (500 ME) in each nostril 5 times a day (single dose of 1000 ME, a daily dose of 5000 ME),

- age 1 to 3 years — 2 drops/dose in each nasal passage 3-4 times daily (single dose of 2000 ME, daily dose of 6000-8000 ME),

- aged 3 to 14 years — 2 drops/dose in each nostril 4-5 times a day (single dose of 2000 ME, daily dose 8000-10000 ME),

- from 15 years and adults — 3 drops/dose in each nostril 5-6 times a day (single dose of 3000 ME, a daily dose of 15000-18000 ME).

For prevention of SARS and flu:

- when contact with the patient and/or by supercooling the drug is injected into a single age dosage 2 times a day once

- seasonal increase in the incidence of drug use in the age dosage single dose in the morning with an interval of 24-48 h,

- if necessary, preventive courses should be repeated.

Drops Grippferon:

After each instillation, it is recommended to massage the fingers of the wings of the nose for several minutes to distribute the drug in the nasal cavity.

Spraygraphic:

The administration should withdraw the protective cap to enter the spray device into nostril and depress the spray mechanism on (1 dose, 1 press). Before first use should be several times to press the spray mechanism before the advent of the cloud of spray.

Allergic reactions.

Drug interactions

The use of vasoconstrictor drugs together with Grippferon® is not recommended, as it contributes to further drying of the nasal mucosa.
