The composition and form of issue:

Tablets, film-coated. 1 tablet contains:

Metformin hydrochloride 0.5 or 0.85 g

excipients: copovidone polyvidone (povidone) prosolv (98% MKC 2% Aerosil — silica colloidal anhydrous) magnesium stearate Opadry P 

in a contour acheikova packing 10 PCs. in cardboard pack 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 packs.

Description pharmaceutical form:

Tablets 0.5 g: tablets, coated white color, round, lenticular shape.

Tablets 0,85 g: tablets, coated white, oblong, biconvex shape.

Method of application and dose:

Inside, the tablets should be taken whole, during or immediately after a meal, squeezed small amount of liquid (glass of water). To reduce the side effects from the blood the daily dose should be divided into 2-3 reception.

The dose is determined by physician individually, depending on the level of glucose in the blood.

Tablets 0.5 g: initial dose of 0.5–1 g/day. 10-15 days there might be a further gradual increase in dose depending on the glucose level in blood. Maintenance dose is usually 1.5–2 g/day. Maximum dose 3 g/day.

Tablets 0,85 g: initial dose of 0.85 g/day. 10-15 days there might be a further gradual increase in dose depending on the glucose level in blood. Maintenance dose is usually 1.7 g/day. The maximum dose of 2.55 g/day. In elderly patients the recommended daily dose should not exceed 0,85–1,

Due to the increased risk of the development of lactate-acidosis, the dose should be reduced in severe metabolic disorders.
