Description of pharmacological action:

It is active against various strains of influenza a and B virus, adenoviruses, paramixoviruses, herpes simplex virus, herpes zoster, cytomegalovirus, respiratory syncytial virus, immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection). The inhibitory effect on virus reproduction occurs in the early stages of virus replication. The basis of the mechanism of action of Hiporhamin lies the inhibitory effect on viral neuraminidase. Induces the production of interferon in blood cells in experiments in vitro and increases the content of interferon in the blood of patients.

In experiments in vitro has a moderate antimicrobial effect against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, tuberculous mycobacteria, fungi of the genus Candida, some mycelial fungi.

Hiporhamin low toxicity. Does not have allergenic, mutagenic, teratogenic and carcinogenic properties, does not affect the immune status of the body.

Indications:

Dosage and administration:

For individual prevention in the period of outbreak of influenza using sublingually tablets, rectal suppositories and Hiporhamin lyophilized in the form of nasal instillation according to the schemes described above.

Overdose:

When using the drug in the form of aqueous solutions in concentrations above 0, 2% possible irritation of the nasal mucosa.

When using other dosage forms of intoxication was not observed.
