Powder lyophilized for solution preparation for oral administration and external application 1 vial contains:

a synthetic peptide consisting of 14 amino acid residues: Thr-Glu-Lys-Lys-Arg-Arg-Glu-Thr-Val-Glu-Arg-Glu-Lys-Glu with a molecular weight of 1818 Dalton 1, 2 or 10 mg

Pharmacological action:

Mechanism of action: triggers the production of alpha - and beta-interferons, mobilizes and activates macrophages, limits the production of proinflammatory cytokines (interleukins 1, 6, 8 and tumor necrosis factor), stimulates the production of antibodies to various antigens of an infectious nature, inhibits the replication of hepatitis virus C, herpes simplex 1 and 2 type, entsefalomiokardita, HIV, increases the resistance against infections caused by viruses, bacteria and fungi.

Clinical pharmacology:

Used in the treatment of various diseases where there is a need to strengthen (restore) the immune response, speed up recovery, increase efficiency of treatment of acute or chronic infection, to prevent the recurrence of a chronic infection, to achieve healing of non-healing ulcers or wounds.

The clinical effect of treatment is to prevent recurrences of opportunistic infections within 3-6 months.

Short course topical application (three irrigation) allows to treat recurrent infections of mucous membranes and skin caused by fungi Candida.

Within 1-2 days upon application Gepon significantly reduced signs of inflammation, particularly the redness and swelling, and a feeling of soreness, burning, itching in the area of the inflamed mucous membranes and skin. The use of the drug is dryness of mucous membranes.

Indications:

Contraindications:

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Method of application and dose:

Inside, locally.

Adults and children 12 years and older recommended 10 mg orally 1 time a day, or 1-2 mg in the form of 0,02–0,04% solution for the local treatment of mucous and skin — 1 time per day.

Treatment of opportunistic infections in HIV infection or other immunodeficiency: treatment with daily intake of 10 mg orally for 1-3 months.

Treatment and prevention of candidiasis of mucous membranes and skin: local application by irrigation of the affected areas of the mucous membranes and skin, rate — 3 irrigation at intervals of 1-3 days. When vulvovaginitis, cervicitis, urethritis in women applying irrigation 0,02–0,04% solution of the mucosa of the vulva, vagina, cervix and lotions the affected areas of the skin adjacent to the entrance to the vagina. If urethritis balanoposthitis and men used instillation of 0.02–0.04% solution in the urethra and lotions on the affected skin. Treatment of mucous membranes and the skin repeated every 1 -3 days.

For the prevention of candidiasis of mucous membranes and skin as possible complications of antibiotic therapy are recommended irrigation (lotion) 0,02–0,04% solution during the course of antibiotic treatment.

To reduce the intensity of inflammation of the mucous membranes should be irrigated 0,02–0,04% solution, and the inflamed skin applying moistened in the same solution gauze.
