Pharmacological action

Glutargin is the salt of arginine and glutamic acid. When alcohol intoxication stimulates the utilization of alcohol in the monooxygenase system of the liver, prevents inhibition of a key enzyme, utilization of ethanol – alcohol dehydrogenase, accelerates the inactivation and excretion of toxic products of ethanol metabolism as a result of increased production and oxidation of succinic acid, reduces the inhibitory effect of alcohol on the Central nervous system through neurotransmitter properties by stimulating glutamic acid. Due to these properties Glutargin and watersplashes exhibits anti-toxic effects.

Glutargin has also gipoammoniemicescoe and hepatoprotective properties due to the activation of the processes of neutralization of ammonia in the body, antioxidant, antihypoxic and membrane-stabilizing effects, positively influences the energy supply processes in hepatocytes.

Glutargin has no embryotoxic, gonadotoxic, mutagenic and teratogenic effects, does not cause allergic and immunotoxic reactions.

Testimony

Prevention of intoxication and hepatotoxicity of alcohol. Treatment of acute alcoholic intoxication mild to moderate severity, as well as in the complex treatment of a disorder after an acute alcohol poisoning, severe.

Contraindications

The relative contraindications are fever, irritability, serious violations of filtration (Azotowe-dividing) of the kidneys.

Application of pregnancy and breastfeeding

Safety the clinical use of drugs in I and II trimester of pregnancy and during lactation has not been investigated.

Method of application and doses

The drug is prescribed for adults inside, regardless of meals.

For the prevention of intoxication and hepatotoxicity of alcohol is prescribed 2 tablets (2 g) for 1-2 hours before drinking alcohol or 1 tablet (1 g) for 1 hour before you start drinking and 1 pill (1 g) for 0.5 h after alcohol intake.

For the treatment of acute alcoholic intoxication mild to moderate severity appoint 1 tablet (1 g) 4 times daily at intervals of 1-2.5h, in the subsequent 2-3 days - 1 tablet 2 times per day. Consistent with alcohol poisoning, severe, after the course/in use of the drug Glutargin, prescribe 1 tablet (1 g) Glutelin alkaline 2 times per day for 20 days in the complex therapy.

Side effects

Rarely, you may experience a feeling of slight discomfort in the gastrointestinal tract and nausea directly after treatment, which are themselves.

Drug interactions

Putangina effect on insulin secretion increases with concomitant administration of aminophylline. Glutargin may increase the effect of anti-aggregating drugs (dipyridamole, etc.). Prevents and attenuates the neurotoxic effects that can occur when using isoniazid. Weakens the effect of vinblastine.

Overdose

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, allergic reactions, vomiting, transient hyperthermia and/or hypotension, Central nervous system excitation, insomnia.

Treatment: depending on the severity of clinical symptoms is the administration of activated charcoal, symptomatic treatment, if required antihistamine therapy.
