Description pharmaceutical form:

A colorless, transparent, viscous liquid.

Pharmachologic effect. Clotrimazole - Candide active ingredient of the drug - is antifungal broad-spectrum topical. The antifungal effect of clotrimazole (an imidazole derivative) is associated with impaired synthesis of ergosterol, a component of fungal cell membranes that modifies membrane permeability and cause subsequent lysis of the cells.

Clotrimazole effective against dermatophytes, yeast and molds, as well as multi-colored depriving the pathogen (Pityriasis versicolor) and the pathogen erythrasma. Clotrimazole has antifungal activity against Gram-positive (staphylococci, streptococci) and Gram-negative bacteria (Bacteroides, Gardnerella vaginalis), as well as against Trichomonas vaginalis, Corynebacterium minutissimum.

When applied topically clotrimazole absorbed to a small extent with the mucous membranes.

Indications for use. Thrush, including in cancer patients receiving radiation or chemotherapy - prevention and treatment.

Dosage and administration. 10-20 drops (1 / 2.1 ml) Candida applied to the affected areas of the oral cavity in 3-4 times a day, preferably with a cotton swab. Improving the condition usually occurs 3-5 days of treatment, but treatment should be continued until complete elimination of the clinical manifestations of the disease.

Side effect. The drug is generally well tolerated. In rare cases, if a hypersensitivity to the drug observed local allergic reactions - redness of the oral mucosa, burning sensation and tingling at the site of application of the drug. If irritation occurs the drug should be canceled.

Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Pregnancy and lactation. Use of the drug during pregnancy or during breast-feeding is shown only when the effect of therapy for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Special instructions. Candide is only intended for topical application in the oral cavity.

Overdose. Acute overdose with topical application of Candida unlikely and does not lead to a situation posing a threat to life.

Drug Interactions. The local application of the drug adverse interactions with other drugs are unknown.

While the use of amphotericin B, nystatin clotrimazole activity may decrease.

Product form. A solution for topical administration in vials of 15 ml.

Shelf life. 3 years. Do not use beyond the expiration date.
