Pharmacological action

Aminalon is the nootropic startwo. 

Gamma-aminobutyric acid is a biogenic substance contained in Central nervous system, is a mediator of neuronal inhibition in the network, and also participates in metabolic processes. Increases the respiratory activity of the tissues of the brain, improves the respiratory activity of the tissues of the brain, improves glucose utilization, improves blood flow to the brain. Has a beneficial effect on learning and memory when they are disturbed due to degenerative brain lesions, stroke, etc., and also with a backlog of mental development in children. Has moderate antihypoxic and anticonvulsant activity.

Vascular brain diseases (atherosclerosis of cerebral vessels, hypertension), cerebrovascular insufficiency (impaired memory, attention, speech, dizziness, headache), dynamic stroke, post-stroke and cranial trauma, alcoholic encephalopathy, dementia, retarded mental development, endogenous depression, polyneuritis, cerebral palsy, syndrome of motion sickness.

Method of application and doses

Inside, before meals. 

The daily dose for adults – 3-3, 75 g, for children 1-3 years – 1-2 g/day, 4-6 years – 2-3 g/day over 7 years – 3 g/day. The daily dose divided into 3 doses. Treatment is long-term (from 2-3 weeks to 2-4 months). With the aim of prevention and treatment of the sickness syndrome adults – 0.5 g, children – 0, 25 g immediately before use of the vehicle or 3 times a day for 3-4 days.

Side effects

Dyspepsia, insomnia, fluctuations AD (in the first days of treatment), dose reduction of these phenomena are usually quickly.
