Pharmacological action 

Groprinosin has immunostimulating, antiviral effect.

Indications

Immunodeficiency States associated with viral infections in patients with weakened immune system, including diseases caused by herpes simplex virus (type I and type II, genital herpes and herpes of other localization), cytomegalovirus; subacute sclerosing panencephalitis.

Contraindications

Gout, urolithiasis, renal failure, hypersensitivity to Groprinosin and its components.

Application during pregnancy and breast-feeding

Contraindicated, because the safety of use is not installed.

Special instruction

Patients in old age do not need to change the dose.

Composition

1 tablet contains inosine pranobex 500 mg.

Method of application and doses

Groprinosin is taken orally, after eating, with a small amount of water, at regular intervals (8 or 6 hours) 3-4 times per day. If the doctor does not appoint otherwise, take: adults-from 6 to 8 table. per day, in 3-4 divided doses; children 50 mg/kg/day in 3-4 reception. In severe infections, the dose can be increased (under medical supervision) to 100 mg/kg/day, 4-6 receptions. The exchange rate is usually 5 days (if needed can increase); after 8 days treatment can be repeated.

Side effect

In the initial period of treatment may reduce appetite, nausea, vomiting, dyspeptic disorders; minor hyperuricemia and hyperuricuria; dizziness, weakness, headaches, allergic reactions.

Storage conditions

The drug should be stored in a dry, dark place at a temperature no higher than 25°C
