Pharmacological action
Furagin is an antimicrobial agent derived from nitrofuran. Active against: Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp, Escherichia spp, Salmonella spp, Shigella spp, Proteus spp, Klebsiella spp, Enterobacter spp, Staphylococcus spp, Lamblia intestinalis and other microorganisms resistant to antibiotics.
Indications
- Treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract.
- Treatment of secondary infectious complications after surgical interventions on the organs of the genitourinary system.
Contraindications
- Impaired renal function.
- Impaired liver function.
- Children age 1 year.
- Pregnancy.
- Lactation.
- Hypersensitivity to nitrofuran derivatives.
With caution: with a deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.

Contraindicated.
Method of administration and dosage
Inside, 50-200 mg 2-3 times / day after meals for 7-10 days. If necessary, you can repeat the course of treatment after 10-15 days.
Special instructions
To prevent side effects, heavy drinking is prescribed. To prevent the development of neuritis, it is necessary to prescribe vitamins of group B.
