RINGER's solution INF FL 200ml

Group: Plasma substituting solutions

Manufacturer: Biochemist (Saransk), Russia

INN: CALCIUM CHLORIDE (CALCIUM CHLORIDE), POTASSIUM CHLORIDE (POTASSIUM CHLORIDE), SODIUM CHLORIDE (SODIUM CHLORIDE)

Pharmacological action

Ringer solution is effective for compensation of the deficit of extracellular fluid and electrolytes.

Pharmacological action depends on its components:

Sodium chloride

Sodium chloride is highly soluble in water, it is a physiological component of the body. Chloride of sodium is the main cation of the extracellular fluid and the main osmotic component in the control of blood volume.

Potassium chloride

Potassium chloride is highly soluble in water. the pH of the aqueous solution is about 7. Potassium chloride is one of the major electrolytes of the body. This ion is the main cation of intracellular fluid and is necessary for the numerous inzimnaya reactions and physiological processes, including carbohydrate metabolism, nerve conduction and muscle contraction.

Calcium chloride dihydrate

Calcium chloride dihydrate is readily soluble in water. 5% solution of calcium chloride has a pH of 4, 5-9, 2. Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body and one of the essential electrolytes. The calcium ion required for activity of many enzymes, exhibits important effects on the potential and the transmittance of the cell membrane, plays a Central role in misecky contraction.

Testimony

Prescribed for hypovolemia and too dominant extracellular dehydration. In accordance with this, the ringer solution is used for :

for compensation of deficit of water and electrolytes resulting from severe vomiting and diarrhea, large burns, peritonitis, severe infections, etc.

  • to maintain the volume of the extracellular fluid at a satisfying level and stable circulation during and after surgery.
  • initial treatment in cases of blood deficiency, shock and trauma.

The dosage regimen

Assign from 500 to 1000 ml per day by intravenous administration with an average speed of 70 drops/min., usually 3, 0 ml/kg body mass/h. the Total amount of solution that you want to use depends on the clinical condition of the patient.

Side effects

When used correctly side effects are not usually observed.

In case of overdose can occur the imbalance of water and electrolytes (hypervolemia, hypernatremia, hyperkalemia, hypercalcemia, hyperchloremia) and acid-base balance. In case of overdose, in most cases it is sufficient to interrupt the introduction.

Contraindications

The purpose of the ringer solution is contraindicated in decompensated heart failure, pulmonary edema, oliguria and anuria.

Terms and conditions storage
