Method of application and dose:

Inside.

Dose picked individually. If single dose more 1 caps., should take half of the total number of capsules before eating, and half while eating, drinking non-alkaline liquid (water, fruit juices). If single dose of 1 caps., it should be taken with food. When difficulty swallowing and for children the capsule can be opened and the microspheres added to food that does not require chewing (e.g., applesauce, yogurt). The prepared mixture must be used immediately. While enzyme therapy is recommended to drink plenty of fluids, deficiency of fluid can cause constipation.

Cystic fibrosis. The initial dose for infants in the first year of life and under 4 years of age is 1000 lipase UNITS at each feeding, for children over 4 years — 500 U/kg at every meal. The dose should be selected individually, depending on the severity of the disease, severity of steatorrhea and nutritional status. Supporting dose for most patients should not exceed 10000 U/kg/day of lipase.

Other types of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Replacement therapy in patients with chronic pancreatitis dose of enzymes depend on the degree of exocrine insufficiency, as well as individual food habits of the patient.

When steatorrhea (more than 15 g of fat in the stool per day), and also in cases of diarrhea and weight loss when the diet does not give significant effect, appoint 25000 UNITS of lipase with each meal. If necessary and good endurance dose increase to 30000-35000 lipase U per single dose. A further increase in the dose, in most cases, does not improve the results of treatment and requires a review of the diagnosis, reduce the fat content in the diet and/or supplementary prescribing — proton pump inhibitors. When mild severe steatorrhea, diarrhea and weight loss prescribed from 10000 to 25000 IU per reception.

Children. Allowable dose for children under 1 5 years — 50000 IU/day.

For every 120 ml infant formula or breast milk as the initial dose it is recommended to take about 1/5–1/3 of the contents of 1 capsule. (the number of microgranules) Micrasim 10,000 (about 2000-3000 IU of lipase), which corresponds to approximately 400-800 IU lipase per 1 g of fats food. If necessary, increase the dose according to clinical symptoms, objective indicators of body weight, growth and absorption of fats.

For children aged 1 to 5 years of daily dose should not exceed 100,000 IU.
